Katelyn Jetelina, MPH, PHD

CEO, Your Local Epidemiologist 

Dr. Katelyn Jetelina is an epidemiologist, scientific communicator, and systems change leader. She is the CEO of Your Local Epidemiologist, whose flagship is a public health newsletter that is read by more than 450,000 people. YLE also houses innovative programs like The Evidence Collective, a network of influencers amplifying evidence-based health information across social media, and Project Stethoscope, a program designed to listen to the concerns, confusion, frustrations, and questions of people on the ground and channel that feedback into the systems where health decisions are made. In, Dr. Jetelina serves as an adjunct professor at Yale School of Public Health, sits on the medical board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and is a member of the Lancet Commission on Trust and Health. A former advisor to three CDC Directors, she continues to counsel multiple organizations and leaders, and her contributions have earned national recognition, including being named to TIME100’s list of the Most Influential People in Health.
